Shots fired at Riverchase Galleria, scene contained

HOOVER – The Hoover Police Department and other local law enforcement have contained a scene at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover where there were reports of shots fired around 3 p.m. on Friday, July 3.

HPD says there are currently unknown victims and injuries, as they continue to gather more information.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to the call for assistance, including the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Other than the scene being contained, Hoover Police haven’t confirmed any other details as the investigation is ongoing.

Following the call, there has been a heavy police presence in place with several ambulances.
